An arrogant and enigmatic serial killer has resurfaced with trademark bravado, challenging Hayden to hunt him again. The invetigation is overshadowed by Hayden's reoccurring visions of an unknown woman. With the help of a psychic investigator, Vera Swan (Polly Walker), Hayden's ethereal sight grows more acute and he realizes the mystery woman is Alice Liddel, the killer's first victim, and possiblly the key to solving the case. As clairvoyance and reality mingle ever closer together, it becomes clear that the killer has left a broken psychic trailer that Hayden must peice together before there is another victim.
