Born the son of Arkansas cotton farmers, with 14 brothers ans sisters, Allison studies the blues at the feet of the masters - Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James and Otis Rush. Recorded live in April 1997 at Theatre St. Gilles on La Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, Luther Allisons LIVE IN PARADISE captures the legendary guitarist in the final months of a career that spanned five decades. (Allison joined his mentors in 'blue heaven' when he passed away the following August) Allison performs 18 songs during this high-energy 2 1/2 hour concert, including his own compositions 'I'm Back', 'Bad Love', 'Parking Lot' and 'Serious'.
