• Plot: Red River,Tennessee (1818,1820), the Bell Family was visited by an unknown, unseen, terrorizing presence. The haunting started with strange noises around the farm, but soon escalated into violent contact. The youngest daughter was singled out in particular. The Bells searched for rational explanations and ways to rid their house of this entity, but to no avail. The Bell Witch Haunting is the most documented haunting in American history, but it was not until 1998, when a manuscript of a local school teacher, who lived on the property during the disturbance was found, that the horrifing and shocking answer to what caused the haunting would finally be revealed. To date, it is the only recorded case in American history where a spirit or entity has caused the death of a human being.
