A deliberately smaller, more intimate work than his sci-fi offerings, FIEND was whipped up in the spring of 1980 as a quick and easy project to recoup money lost after production was halted on the previous year's NIGHTBEAST. Well-acted by an able cast including Dohler regulars Don Leifert (GALAXY INVADER and George Stover (John Water's FEMALE TROUBLE), this fast-paced horror romp with some downright mean surprises is now primed for DVD rediscovery!
