• Plot: Sunday August 30th, 1970, 600,000 people, the largest audience in the history of pop music, were about to experience one of Jethro Tull’s most impressive performances at the Isle of Wight Festival. “Nothing is Easy” is directed by award winning filmmaker Murray Lerner, who also directed and partly shot the original footage of the festival. It contains film of the band’s outstanding performance combined with a brand new interview with Ian Anderson, describing the dramatic, almost violent, festival moods, both backstage and in the audience. As he said “it was a watershed time” between peace and love on one band, and hooliganism on the other.
