Meanwhile, Hyacinth's preparations for high tea with Mrs. Henderson are jeopardized by the unexpected arrival of a largish dog.; ; 'How To Retire Early If You're Not Careful'; While waiting for her invitation to the Royal Garden Party, Hyacinth has decided that she and Richard shall go to the countryside to investigate local history and antiquities.; ; 'A Portrait Of The Artist As A Hen-Pecked Man'; Hyacinth has determined that Richard needs a hobby, and the only one suitably high class seems to be photography. Hyacinth will soon come to regret her creation of Richard the auteur, and the high paced life in the spotlight!; ; 'The French Lieutenant's Daughters'; Hyacinth and Richard have garnered an invitation to a private art gallery exhibition, and she seems modestly proud. Chaos ensues when Daddy runs off to join the French Foreign Legion, Rose embarks on a risque tour with a man of questionable repute, and horror of horrors-Hyacinth can't decide upon the best hat for the occasion.; ; 'How To Go On Holiday Without Really Trying'; The one thing Hyacinth can not stand is snobbery and one-up-man-ship. After all, 'people trying to pretend they're superior makes it so much harder for those of us who really are.' When she finds out about Delia Wheelright's opulent vacation plans, Hyacinth naturally must outdo her with some snazzy travel brochures.; ; 'What To Wear When Yachting'; The opportunity of spending the weekend on a cruiser sounds positively thrilling to Hyacinth. She soon goes about the task of outfitting Richard with proper yachting attire, and preparing a nautical light buffet aboard the yacht for her family and friends.; ; 'Violet's Country Cottage'; Hyacinth borrows Violet's holiday cottage in the country for the weekend and is determined to have a small select group out for a barbecue. Her carefully planned weekend, complete with crystal glassware, is soon foiled by an eccentric couple, and surprise, surprise, the arrival of her family!
