• Plot: Recorded live Dec. 7 2001 at the Warfield Auditorium in San Francisco California this DVD gives anyone unlucky enough to never see SLAYER live the opportunity to capture the intensity of what SLAYER live is all about. From the minute SLAYER hits the stage with the song “Disciple” off their latest release it is obvious that the stage had been set for all out Metal mayhem. Song after song is ripped out covering material from 10 of their 12 CDS missing only songs from “Undisputed Attitude” and “Show No Mercy”. Like the typical SLAYER onslaught there is no irrelevant talk between numbers as song after song seem to blend all in one. Araya’s vocals were at times seemingly struggling missing some of the higher end notes but really was not an issue as the band belted out Classic SLAYER tunes to the over 10000 metal heads in attendance. Hanneman and King put on a guitar speed solo clinic capturing the harmonic melodies they are famous for. Paul Bostaph the drummer on this DVD and renowned skin basher with SLAYER since 1992, is so amazing, you'd think he's a cyborg or something. Native in the bay area scene in San Francisco in the 80's he played in a band called FORBIDDEN that has two records with him. Paul got a phone call from Kerry after being referred by John Tempesta asking if he would like to be in the band even though Jeff wasn't to keen on the idea. Paul was always was a big SLAYER fan so it didn't take long to except the offer. He was given a list of songs to play and was given 12 days to learn them. He has been a permanent fixture behind the kit since that day. He did learn those songs and also learned “Silent Scream” which is a very drum demanding song even though it was not played on this DVD. Although Paul Ruled the backstage with the always evident pounding drum beats I still can't wait for the new Jägermeister tour with HATEBREED and the apparent long awaited return of Dave Lombardo.; ; 1.
