Writer and former CNN correspondent Peter Arnett's script mixes military, political and intelligence testimony from key historical figures, told with a candor and journalistic balance that would be unheard of today. Illustrating every move is rare proprietary footage, much of it from North Vietnamese sources thanks to producer Michael Maclear, the first western journalist allowed to visit the region after the war. this long awaited official DVD of the series, restored from the original broadcast masters, includes new graphics and maps to enhance the epic story that has never been better told.
